Auto-Frenzy.com – This is the news all the Rover fans out there were waiting for. The Chinese based, Fiesta rival has been seen testing in Australia, and we got the picture to prove it.
The new addition to the Rover badge will be called Roewe 250 or 150, and will be the first small car that manufacturer will launch since MG were taken over by the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation in 2005.
We don’t know yet on what platform the new Rover will be based on, all we know is that it won’t be based on the Rover 25, because judging from this picture the 25 is a lot longer than the Roewe 250.
We can also see that the car is being tested in left hand drive, so the new Rover will probably hit the European market as well as the British one. It’s official debut will probably be at one of the Chinese shows, Beijing or Guangzhou.
