Mercedes Sculpture
Auto-Frenzy.com - Mercedes thought of a new way to announce the new CLS Concept, so they brought a sculpture as a preview for the next CLS. The sculpture is very futuristic and predicts more than just the CLS concept but also a few strong hints on Mercedes’ future styling plans.
The sculpture of the new secret model is the first glance of the car that will be out at the end of 2009. Besides the dramatic new grille the care looks like it will get an even more dramatic bodywork but also sharing a few surface angles with the new E-Class. A mystery that still remains is the shape of the cars headlamps, but there are speculation that they will take a more angular form that the curent ones, and will also be equipped with LED.
The most fascinating thing about the sculpture is the SLS-AMG and Blue Zero concept inspired front-grille, which wraps aroud the much bigger central positioned Mercedes badge while the back gets the rear fenders from the E-Class Coupe.
The officials from Mercedes also announced that the design of the new cars will be aimin for a retro 1930′ look in the next coming years. Back to the CLS, it will probably be unveiled later this year when the germans show us the real concept.
